CompuServe 2000 for Windows ® 95/98 Installation Instructions
1. Click on the Windows 95/98 button to download CompuServe 2000.
2. Important: Be sure to write down the filename and path to the directory where you saved the file.
3. Exit out of your Internet Service Provider.
4. Locate the CompuServe 2000 setup file that you saved on your hard drive and double-click it. (Look for the file that starts with "setup".)
5. Follow the easy online instructions to install your FREE CompuServe 2000 software!

Windows NT Installation Instructions
1. Click on the "CompuServe for Windows NT" button to download CompuServe.
2. Write down the path to the directory where you saved the file.
3. Exit out of your Internet Service Provider.
4. Select Run from the Start menu of your task bar and type in C:\cs4nt4.exe (where C: represents the directory where you saved the file), then press Enter.
5. If you don't already have an Internet connection, select Express Installation.
6. If you already have an Internet Service provider, select Advanced and choose Use Existing Internet Connection when prompted.
7. Continue following the easy online instructions to install your FREE CompuServe software!

Windows 3.1 / 3.11 Installation Instructions
1. Click on the "CompuServe for Windows 3.1" button to download CompuServe.
2. Write down the path to the directory where you saved the file.
3. Exit out of your Internet Service Provider.
4. Select Run from the Program Manager File pull-down menu.
5. Type in C:\cs261.exe Run Dialog box (where C: represents the directory where you saved the file), then press Enter.
6. If you don't already have an Internet connection, select Typical Installation.
7. If you already have an Internet Service provider, select Custom Installation and choose the Setup you prefer.
8. Continue following the easy online instructions to install your FREE CompuServe software!

Macintosh Installation Instructions
1. Click on the Macintosh button to download CompuServe 2000 for Macintosh.
2. Exit out of your Internet Service Provider.
3. In the Finder, navigate to the directory where you saved the installer. If the installer is a document and not an application, you will need to decode the installer using a tool such as StuffIt Expander.
4. Double-click on the "Install CompuServe 2000" icon to begin installing CompuServe. The installer will launch and lead you through the installation process. Your computer will need to restart when installation is complete.
5. After your computer has restarted, go to the top level of the hard drive you selected during installation and double-click on the "CompuServe 2000" folder.
6. Follow the easy online instructions to install your FREE CompuServe 2000 software!

Macintosh Installation Instructions
1. Click on the "CompuServe for Macintosh" button to download CompuServe.
2. Take note of where you saved the file.
3. Exit out of your Internet Service Provider.
4. Locate the file you downloaded and double-click on the CompuServe Installer file.
5. Click the Install button.
6. Click the Accept button to accept the terms to Microsoft Internet Explorer.
7. On the next dialog, click "Do not configure" if you already have an Internet Service Provider or "Configure" if you do not have an Internet Service Provider.
8. Continue following the easy online instructions to install your FREE CompuServe software!
