U.S. Justice Department to focus on discrimination against houses of worship

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Justice Department is planning to ramp up efforts to bring more civil rights lawsuits against municipalities that try to discriminate against houses of worship.

The new initiative is expected to be formally unveiled by Attorney General Jeff Sessions later on Wednesday and marks the latest action by the Trump administration in its efforts to prioritize protecting religious freedoms.
