LHP Anderson rejoins Athletics on one-year deal
Left-hander Brett Anderson is returning to the Oakland Athletics, pending a physical Wednesday, MLB.com reported.
Anderson started 17 games last season for the A's and posted a 4.48 ERA with a 4-5 record.
The A's won 97 games last season but are unsettled in the rotation, where the oft-injured Anderson hopes to compete for a starting spot.
Anderson, 31, has 145 career starts and a 46-52 record since breaking into the big leagues with Oakland in 2009.
Since making a career-high 31 starts with the Dodgers in 2015, Anderson has not started 20 games in any season, spending time with the Chicago Cubs, Toronto Blue Jays, A's and Dodgers. He had a previous stop in Colorado (2014), but was just 1-3 in eight games.
