Trump tells New Zealand PM U.S. ready to help after shooting

WASHINGTON, March 15 (Reuters) - President Donald Trump said he told New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern in a phone call on Friday that the United States is prepared to give any assistance following the killing of 49 people at two mosques in New Zealand.

"I informed the Prime Minister that we stand in solidarity with New Zealand - and that any assistance the U.S.A. can give, we stand by ready to help," Trump said on Twitter. (Reporting by Makini Brice; Writing by Eric Beech; Editing by Mohammad Zargham)
