This photograph taken on September 30, 2026 shows Brikesh Singh, chief of communications and engagement at the climate-focused start-up Asar Social Impact Advisors, a collaborator on the Indian multi-lingual rap album on climate crisis 'Climate Emergency Mixtape', watering plants at his residence on the outskirts of Bengaluru. Indian rapper Kali needed little inspiration to write about dwindling water supplies -- he drew on childhood memories of hauling plastic pots full of the precious resource. Kali's song "Neer Kodu" -- "Give Water" in the Kannada language -- is one of six tracks on the "Climate Emergency Mixtape", billed by its organisers as India's first multilingual rap album about the climate crisis.
