Accusations that CNews promotes far-right views and themes gained further traction following the racist attack in Trappes on 23 October, in which a 39-year-old Frenchman, Kévin T., is suspected of having deliberately shot at "people (...) of Muslim, African or North African appearance", according to the national anti-terrorism prosecutor.
